Norfolk Opticians began as a small optical laboratory on Ashby Mill Road, founded by Richard Norfolk and his father. From those early days, they supplied and fitted spectacles locally — building a reputation for craftsmanship, integrity and personal service within the Ashby community.
In 2000, Richard and his wife Catherine, a qualified dispensing optician, opened the current Ashby practice. Together, they developed the business into a trusted independent optician, caring for generations of families across the area.
In 2018, Richard and Catherine expanded the practice by opening a second location in Brigg, bringing the same personal ethos and clinical standards to a wider North Lincolnshire community.
Haroon joined the practice as an experienced Optometrist in 2021, working closely alongside Richard and the team.
In May 2025, Haroon and his wife Amina — both qualified optometrists — proudly took over the practices, continuing the boutique, family-run tradition while investing in modern diagnostic technology and expanding services for patients across North Lincolnshire.
Today, Norfolk Opticians remains committed to the values it was founded on: expert clinical care, personal service and long-term relationships with the families we serve.
